Rotary Foundation Global Grants

Rotary Global Grants support large international projects with sustainable, measurable outcomes. Applications are active, but an NGO cannot apply independently; the proposal must be sponsored and submitted by eligible Rotary or Rotaract members.

Who can participate

• Rotary and Rotaract clubs and districts

• NGOs, community organisations, universities and public institutions as project partners

Important restriction

Rotary states that a person applying for a grant must be a Rotary or Rotaract club member. External organisations should therefore treat this as a partnership opportunity, not a direct open call.

Partnership strategy

1. Identify Rotary clubs or districts working in the project country and relevant area of focus.

2. Prepare a concise concept note with the community need, measurable results, sustainability plan and indicative budget.

3. Approach a local Rotary club as the host sponsor and, for an international project, identify an international Rotary sponsor.

4. Agree on responsibilities, financing, monitoring and stewardship before the Rotary sponsor begins the Grant Center application.

Funding note

The document reports a range of US$30,000–US$400,000. The final award and financing structure depend on Rotary Foundation rules and sponsor contributions.
