Rotary Foundation District Grants

Rotary Foundation / Rotary International

About this opportunity

Rotary District Grants fund smaller, short-term community activities. Opportunities and deadlines are determined by individual Rotary districts, and external organisations normally participate through a Rotary club or district.

How the opportunity works

Each Rotary district sets its own priorities, funding limits, timetable and application procedure. There is therefore no single worldwide award amount or deadline.

Partnership strategy

  1. Find the Rotary district and active clubs serving the target location.

  2. Ask whether the district is currently accepting District Grant proposals and request its local guidance.

  3. Present a short, locally grounded project that can be completed within the district's implementation period.

  4. Work with an eligible Rotary or Rotaract member to develop and submit the application.

Important restriction

Do not present this as a direct application for independent NGOs. Rotary confirms that grant applicants must be Rotary or Rotaract club members.
