Rotary Disaster Response Grants

Rotary Foundation / Rotary International

About this opportunity

Rotary Disaster Response Grants support relief and recovery following qualifying disasters. Funding is accessed through Rotary mechanisms rather than through an independent NGO application.

Who can participate

Rotary districts lead applications. NGOs and community organisations may be considered as local implementation partners where their capacity fits the emergency response.

Partnership strategy

  1. Contact the Rotary district covering the affected location immediately after a qualifying emergency.

  2. Provide a rapid needs assessment, beneficiary estimates, delivery plan and safeguarding controls.

  3. Demonstrate coordination with local authorities and other responders.

  4. Agree on procurement, reporting and visibility responsibilities with the Rotary sponsor.

Funding and deadline

The source document reports standard support of generally up to US$25,000. Availability is disaster-dependent, so there is no universal annual deadline.
